Wolfgang, a passionate didgeridoo player since 2010 and longtime Montessori educator, has designed this workshop to make learning simple, enjoyable, and exciting.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
- Learn the Basics: Start with simple techniques to create the didgeridoo’s signature drone sound. No experience? No problem – this workshop is all about starting where you are.
- Circular Breathing Made Simple: An introduction to continuous play with step-by-step guidance.
- Play with Rhythms: Experiment with a fun beats and vocalizations to add personality and creativity to your sound.
- Feel the Vibration: Experience the calming, meditative qualities of the didgeridoo as you connect with its unique resonance.
Bring your own instrument if you have one, otherwise, no worries! We’ll have some simple didgeridoos available for you to use during the workshop. Gotta bring your curiosity and willingness to try something new though :-).
By the end of our workshop, you’ll walk away with a smile, a new skill, and maybe even a deeper appreciation for the ancient magic of the didgeridoo. And… there’s a variety of possible health benefits: improvements for sleep apnea, increased oxygenation of your body (especially with circular breathing), it can help with asthma, it might well loosening up holding patterns in our body, and the sound/vibration often relaxes the nervous system (think stress and anxiety).
